1. Rental Period and Vehicle Return
Rental Duration: Rentals are available on a daily, weekly, or monthly, yearly basis,
Early Returns: No refunds will be issued for returning the vehicle earlier than the agreed rental period unless otherwise discussed with SAHARA ONE RENT A CAR
Late Returns: Only 2-hour grace period allowed. Beyond the grace period the customer will be charged an additional day
2. Fuel Policy
Fuel Level: We advise our customer to return the vehicle with the same fuel as received. In case the fuel is lower than the fuel given, Sahara Rent a Car will add surcharge on top of the actual fuel cos
3. Vehicle Use and Responsibility
Authorized Drivers: Only individuals listed in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle. Adding extra drivers requires prior approval and may involve additional charges.
Usage Limitations: The vehicle must be driven within the UAE and cannot be used for off-road driving unless specifically agreed upon. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is not used for unlawful activities, racing, or towing.
Geographical Restrictions: The vehicle can only be driven within the boundaries of the UAE. Crossing the UAE border without permission will result in penalties and may void the insurance coverage.
4. Mileage Allowance
Daily and Weekly Rentals: Daily and weekly rentals come with a standard mileage limit of 250 kilometers per day. Exceeding this limit will result in a charge of AED 0.40 to 1 AED per extra kilometer asper the vehicle catagory
Monthly Rentals: For monthly rentals, a 4500-kilometer mileage cap applies. Any mileage beyond this limit will be charged at AED 0.40 to 1 AED per kilometer depends on vehicles
5. Insurance & CDW
Basic Insurance: Basic Comprehensive insurance is included in all rentals, with optional upgrades available. Renters are responsible for any damages not covered by insurance.
Accidents and Damage: In the event of an accident, damage, or theft, the hirer must immediately contact SAHARA ONE RENTA CAR and the police. A police report is mandatory for any damage claims, without which the hirer will be held responsible for all repair costs.
Repair Costs: The hirer is liable for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period that is not covered by insurance. Repairs must be authorized and carried out by SAHARA ONE RENTA CAR .
CDW: All the vehicles have comprehensive insurance coverage as well as Driver and Passenger Accident Coverage.
If any accident occurred by the mistake of hirer, hirer will be liable to pay an excess amount to the insurance company. This can be waived by purchasing optional CDW at the time of opening the contract.
Maintenance and Roadside Assistance
6. Routine Maintenance:
The vehicle will be delivered in excellent working condition. The hirer is responsible for routine checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels, and must report any mechanical issues immediately.
Breakdown and Assistance: SAHARA ONE RENT A CAR offers 24/7 roadside assistance for all rentals. In the event of a breakdown, a replacement vehicle will be provided subject to availability.
7. Security Deposit and Payments
Security Deposit:
. A preauthorization, deposit of a minimum of AED 1000 or higher depending of the segment of vehicle rented will be blocked / Purchased on a valid credit card and will be released or refunded 21 days from the date of off-hire. Please note Preauthorization / Block amount may differ depending on the vehicle. For all rentals, payments are to be made in advance along with deposit
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or cash. All major cards are accepted.
Toll Charges (Salik): A fee of AED 5 will be charged for each Salik (toll) gate crossed during the rental period. The above charges are subject to change without any prior notice.
Traffic Violations and Fines
8.1 Responsibility for Fines: The hirer is responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and toll charges incurred during the rental period. A service fee may apply to process fines.
Penalty Fees: An administrative charge of AED 20 plus a 10% service fee will be added to all fines. The hirer must clear any outstanding fines before the vehicle is returned.
9. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the rental period begins to avoid charges. Late cancellations may result in a fee equivalent to one day’s rental.
Refunds: Refunds for cancellations or early returns will be processed based on the terms agreed upon at the time of booking.
10. Vehicle Condition and Cleanliness
Condition Upon Return: The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was rented, including cleanliness. Excessively dirty vehicles will incur cleaning fees.
Tire and Windshield Damage: Any damage to the tires, rim, windshield, or other exterior parts of the vehicle is the responsibility of the hirer and will be charged accordingly.
11. Legal Compliance
Driver’s License: The hirer must hold a valid UAE driver’s license or an internationally recognized driving license. Tourists must comply with UAE driving laws, including converting their foreign license once they gain UAE residency.
Alcohol and Drug Use: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. In the event of an accident caused by intoxicated driving, the hirer will be fully liable for all damages.
12. Modifications to Terms
SAHARA Rent A Car reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will apply to all new rentals and will be communicated to customers accordingly.
13. Additional Drivers and Fees. Contact and Support
Additional Drivers: The hirer can add extra drivers to the rental agreement for an additional fee. Each driver must meet the minimum age and licensing requirements.
Age Restrictions: Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid UAE driving license. Additional charges may apply for younger drivers between the ages of 21 and 25.
Driving License Exemptions | Tourists from all GCC countries and countries listed below are permitted to drive in the UAE with their respective local driving licenses:
Please note that in case the hirer’s Visit or Tourist visa in UAE is changed to a Residence visa, you will need to obtain an UAE driving license. This together with a copy of your passport with Residence visa page has to be submitted to SAHARA ONE RENT A CAR |
